Bereavement Training for Professionals
In association with Living through Loss Counselling Society of BC the Vancouver Center for Loss & Bereavement, will be providing training for social workers, teachers, funeral home employees, school counselors, crisis workers, therapists, palliative care nurses, or any individual who wants to explore bereavement issues related to their clients or communities.

Training will cover:
- Introduction to grief & loss: traditional & contemporary theories, models and practices
- Multiple losses – complex bereavement, complicated grief and traumatic loss
- Bereavement by suicide or homicide
- Supporting children: family systems
- Culture, religion & rituals
- Community grief
- Caregiver resiliency
The sessions are facilitated by a grief and loss therapist/trainer from the Center & Living through Loss Counselling Society of BC.
A certificate will be awarded upon completion of the training.
Date and Time:
The course runs three consecutive Saturdays from 10am – 4 pm.

- Saturday August 19th
Please note to run the course a minimum of 6 registrants are required. Max. intake of 8 registrants.
The course fee includes 2- ½ hour supervision sessions post completion of course.
